Here is FINAL SUBMISSION post.
Everyone has childhood dreams, and sometimes we have the opportunity to bring them to life. Books about astronauts always carried away, and space beckoned to itself. This project is dedicated to the pioneers of space.
The goal was to change the Cooler Master Mastercase 5t as much as possible, but to leave the distinctive features that can easily determine the original case model. The new shapes and corners of the mod correspond to the original 5t body.
All my mods I completely do it myself (work/photos/videos), unfortunately my children are still too young to help me)) But my Cat controls all stages of my work and does not allow me to relax) In the previous work it took me more than 8 months of work each. I can't buy expensive materials and tools, so Many thanks to sponsors without which I would not be able to make my projects! The guys from ASUS, Transcend and Cooler Master provided me with the main components for last mods, and some of the components were won in the competition.
One man, one cat, one router and a huge job, so let's work-log begin!
The shape of the starship is a mixture of spaceships from different arts and aircrafts with the reverse sweep of the wing.
The goal was to modify the case as much as possible, turning it into a spaceship, but leaving the features on which you can easily determine from which CM case it made of.
The name of the ship is taken from the novel "Treasure on Thunder Moon" by Edmond Hamilton. It tells the story of space veterans pioneers, who were sent to conquer the miserable existence of retirement. They built a ladder to the stars and were forgotten. The
veterans help the daughter of one of their comrades, risking their lives heading to Oberon, moon of Uranus, which should be a treasure of priceless laviola, fabulously expensive mineral with a negative gravity. This story makes you think and remains in memory for a long time.
To minimize the height of the housing, the power supply was moved to the bow of the ship, behind the cockpit. However, it is connected via a connector placed on the back of the case:
Two video cards are connected by SLI bridge and connected via flexible risers and looks like a lightspeed engine :)
The top covers are fixed by neodymium magnets:
The main part of the wires is hidden in the head of the Meteor. There are also ventilation holes for ventilation closed by a protective grid.
The entire backlight is synchronized using ASUS Aura.
All work is carried out under the close supervision of the chief of CATquality control Department.
The project was originally designed to participate in Cooler Master Case Mod World Series in 2018, I hope You will support Meteor in the contest.
The main feature of worklog is this short videos (Hope you enjoy it and you be inspired to mods creations):
Is this a dream or reality? Truly... hard work and no time to sleep!
